Welcome to the English Language Centre in the beautiful historic city of York! The ELC occupies an historic Georgian Town House built in 1750, within the 700 year-old city walls. A small school, we happily have a famously friendly touch. We offer courses to suit everyone - General English, Adult and Junior Summer Courses, Cambridge Examinations, One-to-one, Teachers' Refreshers, plus CELTA/DELTA. Our teaching team are well-qualified, dynamic and enthusiastic. Above all, they will take a friendly interest in you and your studies. We look forward to meeting you here in York!

| Exam courses include General English improvement classes in the mornings, followed by specific practice and relevant preparation for the examination in the afternoons. Courses are offered for the examinations in: Preliminary English Test, First Certificat |

Social Programme
We offer a full social programme throughout the year, with at least 3 activities per week, including evenings. During the summer, we offer a lively mid-week social programme plus a free full-day excursion every Saturday.
